Evaluation of services rendered at drop-in centres and children’s
home in Limpopo

This survey of 21 drop-in centres and children’s homes in one
district of Limpopo was designed to inform the development of
minimum service standards to ensure that children are cared for and
protected, and that their rights are respected.

Rapid appraisal for community-based drug-resistant TB care

A rapid appraisal of care for patients with drug-resistant TB
was conducted in two provinces, to guide the development of a
comprehensive budget for hospital upgrade, staffing and continuum
of care for drug-resistant TB patients.
Building the foundations for providing a national palliative
care service
Service Provider: Wits Palliative Care Unit. Partner:
Gauteng Department of Health
This project strengthened service delivery for palliative care
by establishing a centre of excellence for palliative care, a pilot
service in a rural site and producing evidence-based clinical
palliative guidelines for policy discussion.
